PPAC: The Lion King

Friday. Freezing and beautiful.

Friday night T had tickets for us to go see The Lion King at Providence Performing Arts Center  in downtown (downcity) Providence. It was a 7:30 show and we took an Uber down so that we didn't have to worry about parking (or driving if we decided to have a few).

Neither one of us had ever set foot in PPAC and we both really impressed with its theatrical charm. Gaudy and funky and vintage, large but cozy at the same time are some ways that I would describe the interior. I love being in theaters and I love that we have such a gorgeous one so close to us. Overpriced drinks and snacks? Yep, but what theater doesn't have that.

The show itself was spectacular. I was crying within the first 2 minutes. You can't help it! The music is so beautiful and the sets and costumes are gorgeous! We both agreed this was a nice change of pace for date night and we will definitely be back. PPAC: 10 outta 10.
